David Reinfurt developed this 3-part curriculum teaching graphic design at Princeton. His course is divided into 3 topics, or fields of study: T-Y-P-O-G-R-A-P-H-Y, G-E-S-T-A-L-T and I-N-T-E-R-F-A-C-E. (We don’t know why they're all-caps and hyphenated.) He then took his lectures of those three semesters, and turned them into a 3-day conference, held in California last year. The condensed lectures presented at the conference were then turned into the three chapters of this book.
Enjoy this fresh perspective on all you may have missed, or mis-remembered, from History of Graphic Design, including a detailed description of a subject Reinfurt has studied deeply: Muriel Cooper at MIT.
Foreword by Adam Michaels and Introduction by Ellen Lupton. Sorry this product description isn't more sardonic — we sincerely recommend this book!
